1/06/2011 · i don't have a D7000, but other nikon DSLRs i have used have a switch at the top, right-hand corner of the rear LCD display that locks and unlocks the ability to choose focus points. the switch has a dot and the the letter L -- and you need to choose the dot position to be able to move among focus points. hope this helps.... Nikon D7000 focus toggle busted - Photography
Everytime I try to move the focus point it won't it's like it's stuck. It moves with the 3D I know it's not the wheel because I use to to go through my menu and it works just fine. Also the knob is not on lock, it's on the dot. Please help ??... My Nikon D7000 has 39 focus points, and newer and more expensive cameras have even more. Also, the factory settings are to keep all the available focus points active, including, I believe, on professional cameras such as Nikon D4.

The way that the focus works out of the box, is that the camera and smart sensor tries to guess what you want to focus on by combining parameters like size and proximity and sets the relevant focus points.
- 7/06/2014 · All I can get to show up in my D600 viewfinder is a single focus point. I have tried the different mode with the same results. I do have AF point illumination set to AUTO and have also tried with it just in the ON position.

I don't want auto focus (the camera decide where to focus), I want to set my camera to single Focus point (the way I can see a dot and can move to any where in the frame I wish).
